My name is Moreno Franco. And I like well designed things.
I graduated from the London Royal College of Art in 1978 with dual majors in Visual Communication Design and Industrial Design.

Now, I am a semi-retired Creative Director, and Advertising Marketing Consultant. With 45 years of experience as a Graphic Designer & Visual Arts Communication practitioner - I reckon I am imminently qualified to promote the products I present on this website.

With so many years spent in the Belly of The Beast, where we sold people things they never knew that they needed - I am also qualified to help you avoid the BS of sales / marketing jargon.

Having been "forced" by disappointment resulting from items I have bought, into appreciating how poor design influences the cognitive, social, and developmental psychology of humans, I learned to understand how Good Design can shape Human Life.

There exist any number of ways to just mess it up with egrigious clutter and mindless shopping for stuff and staggering negligence towards good taste - as opposed to what is needed, and what will fit.

Having faced this issue on a few occassions, and having just recently, gone thru' this entire experience myself - I decided that I should share my insights with my unsuspecting fellow Earthlings - in order to enlighten, amuse, assist - and discourage from bankrupting excess.

Ultimately, you will be spared from the senseless search for things you imagine you want - and instead focus on the things you need.

As a Designer - I like things that are well designed. Shopping for things is a nightmare because I know I am going to be saddened by the sight of a lot of totally uninspired junk. Which is not the fault of the designers.
They have to design to a pre-determined budget. Trapped by material limits, burdened with time restrictions, pressured by production deadlines and hobbled by manufacturing constraints - all resulting from the drug-induced fever dreams of the marketing executives who . . . anyway . . .
